Ingredients
- 1 cup cocoa butter or coconut oil
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup of raw honey or pure maple syrup
- 3 teaspoons of vanilla extract (not the imitation)
Steps
- Using a small saucepan, gently heat all of the ingredients over very low heat.
- Mix them until they are thoroughly combined and the sauce is smooth. This will take it about 15 minutes or so. Be sure it is on very low heat.
- You can sample the chocolate by taking the spoon and sampling it from there. There should be almost no grit.
- Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Pour the sauce over the paper.
- Shake the cookie sheet or jelly roll pan gently until the chocolate has flattened out as much as possible.
- Unless you know that your freezer will allow your chocolate to freeze flat, put it in the refrigerator on a shelf until it hardens slightly.
- Place the cookie sheet in the freezer for 2 to 3 hours. Be sure that the chocolate is completely solidified.
- Break the chocolate into chunks.
- Separate a few for chopping, and put the rest in the freezer. Otherwise, things will be melting by the time you are done.
- Chop it up into small pieces.
- Store the chips in your freezer until needed.
