Did you know that you can make your own chocolate chips? Much healthier and zero additives!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cocoa butter or coconut oil

  • 1/3 cup of raw honey or pure maple syrup

  • 3 teaspoons of vanilla extract (not the imitation)

Steps

  1. Using a small saucepan, gently heat all of the ingredients over very low heat.

  2. Mix them until they are thoroughly combined and the sauce is smooth. This will take it about 15 minutes or so. Be sure it is on very low heat.

    • You can sample the chocolate by taking the spoon and sampling it from there. There should be almost no grit.

  3. Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper.

  6. Unless you know that your freezer will allow your chocolate to freeze flat, put it in the refrigerator on a shelf until it hardens slightly.

  7. Place the cookie sheet in the freezer for 2 to 3 hours. Be sure that the chocolate is completely solidified.
