If you are tired of trying to re-shape and form your fashion boots every winter, there is a “summer” inspired solution that will keep them in shape. From leather to fabric; this method is a tried and true way to maintain boot shape so you don’t have to worry about working on kinks or wrinkles whenever you want to wear them.

Steps
- Assess your boot collection. Take inventory of the number of boots in your closet and their condition. You should also note the height and size of each set.
- Purchase several pool noodles. You will be cutting the pool noodles down and inserting them into each boot so buy enough for your entire collection. Take into consideration the boot length--higher boots will use up more noodle than others so even though you may have a certain number of boots, don’t just assume you can cut the noodle into fourths and use (or in half).
- Measure boot length and apply to the noodle. Transfer your measurements to the noodle and use the pencil to mark the place.
- Saw noodle to fit the boot(s). Use an extremely sharp hand saw to cut through the noodle material. Saw on the area where you marked and saw directly downward.
- Brush away any Styrofoam debris remaining on top of the noodle before use. Even applying a little light sandpaper to the ends may help.
- Insert noodle directly downward into boot. Even if a bit of the noodle sticks out beyond the top of your boot, make sure you have enough noodle to completely fill the boot.
Tips
- Never use a “used” pool noodle for this project as the chemicals from the pool could damage the boot material.
